PGA Catalunya Resort, near Barcelona, has been recognised as the Best Golf Development in Europe at this year’s prestigious European Property Awards.
This latest accolade reinforces the reputation of the European Tour’s latest Destination and its critically acclaimed Stadium Course, which was ‘highly recommended’ by the awards’ high-calibre jury of international experts, including Michael Harris, editor of Golf Monthly magazine, George Graham, Development Director at Gleneagles, the venue of The 2014 Ryder Cup, and freelance property writer Graham Norwood, who contributes to The Daily Telegraph, The Times and The Financial Times.
These recognitions add to PGA Catalunya Resort’s growing list of important accreditations, which include a fifth position ranking in Golf World magazine’s latest Top 100 Continental European Golf Courses for 2014.
Julio Delgado, CEO of PGA Catalunya Resort, said: “We strive to deliver the utmost standards of quality and service at PGA Catalunya Resort and these awards signal to the world we are well positioned to satisfy every possible requirement of golfers and home owners in Spain and they reflect the outstanding work of both our team and our carefully chosen partners.”
Additional accolades received in recent years include a listing in Golf World magazine’s World Top 100 Courses Ranking, and being awarded Spain’s best golf course for 2012 and 2013, by respected website Top100courses.co.uk.
