Kingsclere-based Sandford Springs Golf Club announce the opening of a new luxury four-star standard hotel set in the grounds of the golf club. Opened by former World of Sport star Dickie Davies along with owners Paul and Jennifer Gibbons last week, the contemporary arc-shaped 40-bedroom hotel is designed with both the corporate and leisure break market in mind.

Located between Basingstoke and Newbury on the A339, Sandford Springs is easily accessed via the M3, M4 and local business parks.

The £6M development boasts a modern look and feel with large windows overlooking the 11th green and 12th tee of the golf course. The oak finished rooms feature two different styles and come inclusive of a full English or continental breakfast served in the Hotel’s own restaurant. Evening meals are served in the recently refurbished clubhouse restaurant that boasts panoramic views of the countryside.

Designed by HFP architects, built by Leadbitter and finished by interior suppliers Concept and Bamptons, the hotel build was supervised by Club owners Jennifer and Paul Gibbons.

Jeff Condliffe, General Manager at Sandford Springs Hotel and Golf Club explains, “We’ve always been an attractive destination for functions such as weddings, business meetings and corporate golf events. The addition of the hotel at the Club greatly enhances our offering in both the business and leisure markets. We’re already taking bookings for weekday corporate and business customers as well as weekend leisure breakers.”

The standard, superior and suite room prices range from £90 per night. Bookings are being taken on 01635 296800.

Set among the beautiful rolling hills of Watership Down in Hampshire, with spectacular panoramic views of Berkshire and Hampshire, Sandford Springs is a visual and golfing delight to savour. Situated on the A339 between Newbury and Basingstoke, Sandford Springs has a unique 27 hole layout, comprising a trio of testing nine hole circuits – The Park, The Woods and The Lakes – that ensures a varied challenge amid enviable geography that is both distinct and memorable. The driving range, well-stocked Pro-Shop with custom-fitting services, friendly, welcoming membership and clubhouse, complete with a fantastic food menu, all contribute towards making Sandford Springs the enticing place it is.

A stunning wedding venue it is licensed to hold wedding receptions and civil ceremonies for up to 100 people and evening celebrations for up to 200 guests. Sandford Springs is also a great place for meetings, events, team building days and celebration parties.
