The 2013 European Golf Business Conference welcomes Dr. Nile W. Hatch, the architect behind optimal pricing and Co-Founder of Quantival—The Intelligent Pricing Company.

Your course’s agronomy, carts, staffing, online tee times, call centre reservation expenses are ALL UP; and your course’s revenue, profitability, and course play are FLAT to DOWN.

Increasingly you find yourself thinking, “We have to motivate our current golfers to play more, while simultaneously attracting golfers who may be playing elsewhere to play at our course.  If we decrease our green fees to increase rounds played, but we fail to generate any additional profit from those rounds, we fall further behind. Alternatively, if we raise our prices and decrease rounds played, we may also lose profit and fall behind.

How do we set the right price? Isn’t there a way to come up with a pricing system that ultimately generates 1 to 1 pricing for each of our golfers, based on how much they play? What if we were able to price our green fees per the weather; or in a way that impacts pace of play?  Could we start by varying our prices based on tee time availability and actual demand?  Could we build a pricing engine that devised comprehensive pricing for the course, the driving range, the grill, and the pro shop?

With these queries in mind, the 2013 European Golf Business Conference welcomes Dr. Nile W. Hatch, the architect behind optimal pricing and Co-Founder of Quantival—The Intelligent Pricing Company.

Dr. Hatch’s innovative demand based pricing solutions have earned him a reputation as golf’s foremost authority on green fees.  Moreover, his dynamic pricing strategies for perishable inventory (tee times, parking pricing, arena pricing, etc.) are driving significant new revenue at the globe’s top golf management companies. Expect to come away with a new understanding of pricing and of green fee algorithms that are revolutionizing the golf world.

Dr. Hatch is a world-renowned economist with multiple degrees in Economics, including a PhD from the prestigious University of California, Berkeley, and he was named to the cover of the June 2011 edition of Harvard Business Review.  Sought after globally as a top business strategist, he has consulted with numerous multi-national conglomerates, including Siemens, Philips, and Fresenius-Kabi.

In addition to his role as Chairman of Quantival, Dr. Hatch is currently Alumni Research Fellow at the Marriott School of Management and Professor of Business Strategy at BrighamYoungUniversity.

His engaging, dynamic presentations and seminars are not to be missed. Most recently he was featured as a speaker at the MBA Roundtable in Boston, the  Strategic Management Society Conference in Prague,  and the Simatelex Symposium in Shenzhen.
