Nikon will be celebrating its 21st anniversary as a patron of The Open Championship, golf’s oldest Major Championship, which takes place from 14 – 21 July 2013 at Muirfield in Scotland, the home of the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers.
To mark its long-standing support of The Open Championship, Nikon will be offering a few lucky visitors the chance to be part of an exciting photo experience. Working with TimeSlice, experts in “bullet-time” photography, more than 50 Nikon cameras will be used to capture a special effects style image that gives a rotational view of a key moment in time.
This demonstration video shows exactly what it offers.
Visitors will be able to take away their TimeSlice video, as a souvenir of the day. Visitors should register early if they would like to take part.
John Walshe, General Manager at Nikon UK, says: “The Open Championship continues to be Nikon’s biggest global sponsorship and we’re honoured to continue our support of such a prestigious event, working alongside some of the world’s greatest golfers and sports photographers.
He adds: “We’re also pleased to be able to maximise the brand presence this year with an exciting customer experience that gives an insight into the capabilities of our products. Never before have visitors had the chance to be part of a special effects photography shoot, that produces the kind of images usually only seen in the movies!”
Nikon binoculars will also be available to hire from the retail unit, where a range of Nikon product will also be available to purchase, including Nikon laser rangefinders as used by, Ian Poulter, plus selected Nikon COOLPIX cameras.
In addition, Nikon will be supporting its professional accredited photographers from all over the world with a dedicated support depot, where photography equipment can be loaned and professional photography equipment can be checked or cleaned.
