Under the guidance of club manager David Griffin, who joined at the start of the year, Brocket Hall has made a number of key appointments since the spring as it builds on its achievements of the last few years.

Tim Hearn has been recruited from four-time Ryder Cup venue The Belfry to take up a position as Brocket Hall’s new golf services manager, while Griffin has strengthened his membership sales team by returning to former club Heythrop Park to add Jago Toner to his staff.

Hearn, a PGA-qualified professional, has spent the last nine years working at The Belfry for the last nine years and, in his last role as golf operations manager, was responsible for managing a team of more than 40 people on a day-to-day basis.

The 29-year-old said: “I pride myself on my knowledge of the industry and delivering excellent customer service and I’m excited at the prospect of the new challenge.

“Brocket Hall has a deserved reputation as one of the most prestigious clubs in the UK. Under David, It has some ambitious plans and I’m looking forward to playing my full part in the immediate and long-term future of the club.”

While many golf clubs continue to struggle in the economic climate, business is booming at Brocket Hall and the prospects look good for the coming months.

Led by membership sales director Luke Geoghegan, the club has retained 97 per cent of its members over the last two years and has added nearly 60 new members in the last quarter.

In addition, it has also significantly increased its corporate membership revenue streams while European Tour star Simon Khan, runner-up in this year’s BMW PGA Championship, and 2010 World Long Driving champion Joe Miller have been signed up as club ambassadors.

David Griffin, Brocket Hall club manager, said: “Our membership numbers are growing year on year and we have assembled the best membership team in the UK to deliver the optimum experience for our membership.

“I am sure that with the additional membership benefits that we have introduced over the past few months, membership at brocket hall will go from strength to strength.”

Set within 543 acres of stunning 18th century parkland, Brocket Hall’s two 18-hole championship courses are famously named after the prime ministers who once resided there, Lord Melbourne and Lord Palmerston.

Golfers interested in sampling a taste of the club’s extensive benefits can buy a PreviewMembershipPass for £595 per person, entitling them to eight rounds of golf, four breakfasts and lunches in the clubhouse and two lunches in Auberge du Lac.
