The Trilby Tour has announced that for the first time it is to offer the sponsorship of its prime time Sky Sports HD amateur golf TV series to a third party and is inviting golf industry brands both a large and small to partner with the now hugely successful and established format with a range of tiered packages….
The Trilby Tour, until now, has kept the both the Broadcast idents and Event sponsorship to itself with William Hunt and William Hunt- Savile Row (retail outlets) taking centre stage during the tournaments and the airing of the show. However, with the TV show having seen amazing growth since its launch in 2007 and with the latest 2012 BARB TV ratings up 200% YOY (reaching over half a million golfers), it is now felt the time is now right to let other brands into the party!
William Hunt and Trilby Tour Tournament Director Marc O’Leary have worked closely with Media Consultant Ian Mullins over the winter period to develop a number of options for potential partners and sponsors and is including an opportunity for some of the lesser known brands to gain valuable TV exposure via an affordable series of ‘second tier’ sponsorship packages.
In addition, the Trilby Tour are thrilled that Sky Sports HD TV will also be backing the show with additional on-air and online support for the first time in the form of show trailers and listing promos, demonstrating how much they believe in the format’s further potential for growth and their intention to help see the show go from strength to strength.
The tournament runs from June –September across ten different venues and is aired on TV from September to December, and this will include coverage of The Trilby Tour Pairs and MatchPlay competitions.

The Trilby Tour is a multi event amateur golf tournament event created by William Hunt in 2007 where 1200+ amateurs compete under professional conditions for the chance to win the top Winner Takes All prize.
It has since grown at an incredible pace to become the biggest and most stylish amateur golf tournament in the UK Each round is broadcast as part of an autumn series on Sky Sports with the top prize going to the winner of the final event. Players pay a £275 entry fee and are kitted out with William Hunt outfit, trilby hat, limited edition golf bag, and caddy outfit!
