Pamela Pretswell, a rising star of Scottish ladies golf, will be wearing Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland on the Ladies European Tour.
The 23-year-old from Hamilton, close to Glenmuir and Sunderland’s Lanark headquarters, scooped the 2012 LET Access Series Order of Merit, just weeks after turning professional and having helped GB&I to a stunning Curtis Cup win.
The Order of Merit win earned Pamela her full Ladies European Tour card, along with France’s Marion Ricordeau and Norwegian Cecilie Lundgreen.
Pamela has already been wearing her new Glenmuir outfits and commented: “The clothes are amazing and I cannot wait to wear the kit on Tour next season.”
Glenmuir and Sunderland managing director, Colin Mee, was delighted to announce the clothing sponsorship arrangement and said: “Pamela looks to have the ability and desire to go far in professional golf.
“She won the Ljungybed Park PGA Ladies Open and had a whole host of top ten finishes in the LET Access Series, so she knows how to win and we have no doubt she will be a fantastic ambassador for Glenmuir, Sunderland and Scottish golf in general.”
Pretswell represented Scotland and Great Britain in tennis from the age of five to 14 before turning to golf. Life on Tour can be daunting for new professionals and the LET Access Series provides the starting steps for many players who then progress onto the main Ladies European Tour.
Glenmuir is a brand right at the heart of golf. Preferred Supplier to The European Ryder Cup Team, Glenmuir enjoys partnerships with the PGAs of Europe, The PGA, VisitScotland and EventScotland.
