Longest Drive Could Bring New Golfing Visitors to Manchester

UK hotel and conference booking agents and teams of corporate clients gathered at the Best Western Ullesthorpe Court Hotel, Lutterworth in Leicestershire last month for the Best Western Golf Challenge. As part of the latest initiative by south Manchester hotel, the Best Western Cresta Court in Altrincham, to develop new golf business into the region, the Hotel were proud sponsors of the 3rd hole at the event – the longest drive.

The sponsorship was the first of many golf related marketing initiatives planned for the next 12 months that is specifically aimed at driving new golf leisure business for the Hotel.

The Hotel already successfully offers discounted rates to its leisure guests for a round of golf at Altrincham Golf Club, but is now looking to work more closely with local golf courses, golf tour operators and travel agents to develop bespoke golf breaks in the area.

General manager Paul Hindley commented that: ”South Manchester andCheshirehas some exceptional golf courses and we see that they can really become an attractive part of the tourist offering for the area.”
