Hole 3 Heritage Course at London Golf Club

There are still a few team places available for the 26th Golf Foundation Pro-Am, on Monday, 8th October, at London Golf Club, but supporters of the charity are advised to act swiftly to secure a place at this European Tour supported event.

The Pro-Am occupies an important place in the golfing calendar, held this year at one of the country’s most popular golfing venues at London Golf Club, in Ash, Kent (near Brands Hatch).

A Tour professional will support each team of three amateurs in a Stableford better-ball competition which features a range of prizes and on-course challenges. The atmosphere on the day is always very friendly as amateurs are joined by European Tour, European Senior Tour and Ladies’ European Tour players.

London Golf Club’s Heritage course is a classic Jack Nicklaus layout which forces you to consider every shot. Dramatic tee shots and daunting approaches make the course both memorable and challenging. The Heritage has been host to The European Open and is maintained to the very best standards.

Attractions on the day include a champagne breakfast before a shot-gun start, an excellent dinner and a charity auction and raffle, with all money raised on the day going to the HSBC Golf Roots programme, the Golf Foundation’s national strategy to make the game more accessible to children from all backgrounds and abilities (more than £140,000 has been raised through the Pro-Am in the last seven years).

Sarah Tennyson, Marketing Manager of the Golf Foundation, said: “The Foundation’s Pro-Am is a great way to meet like-minded business colleagues at one of the very best golf venues in theUK. The European Tour’s excellent support always helps to ensure that this is a fantastic day of golf played in a unique atmosphere.

“Places for the Pro-Am are filling up quickly but there is still time to get involved by talking to our team today. All the money raised on the day goes to help youngsters to find a start in the game through the Golf Foundation’s respected and successful national programmes, so this is a very worthy cause.”

The big day is on 8th October. Bookings are for £1,200 per team. Shotgun start at 10.30am. To find out more about booking a team, call 01992 449830 or see www.golf-foundation.org
