John Letters is back in the ball business

7.05am 24th February 2009 - Corporate

World famous Scottish golf club maker John Letters Golf, which has just celebrated 90 years in the business, has re-entered the golf ball market and rekindled memories of the 1970s when the Supermex golf ball was one of the hottest around.

The Supermex ball was named after John Letters staff player Lee Trevino, a back to back Open winner in 1971 and 1972 and the only golfer to win the US Open, Canadian Open and British Open in the same year 1971.In fact John Letters has a rich heritage in golf balls, as the Golden Goose was another popular model through the 1980’s.

The new John Letters range offers two golf balls, with the T7+ Distance delivering all out distance and pinpoint accuracy, and the T9 Soft Feel giving a softer feel with ultimate control and playability.

Available in one dozen packs the T7+ Distance ball and the T9 Soft Feel ball have manufacturer’s recommended retail prices of £19.99.
