The European Institute of Golf Course Architects has announced that the Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) is to become their latest Official Patron. The CMAE will be the EIGCA’s
eighth Patron joining The R&A, European Golf Association, European Tour, Federation of European Golf Greenkeepers Association, The PGAs of Europe, European Golf Course Owners Association and Golf Environment Organisation.
The CMAE is a not-for-profit professional association with members involved in the management of clubs offering golf and other sports, health & fitness clubs, leisure, city and dining clubs located throughoutEurope. It is also the pan-European ‘unifying’ organisation for a variety of national professional associations for club managers and secretaries.
Rainer Preissmann, President of the EIGCA, commented; “It gives me great pleasure to welcome CMAE as our new Patron. The EIGCA is always looking to strengthen links with other golf and sports bodies and this new partnership will allow us to build closer relationships with the people who actually run golf clubs acrossEurope. We have worked together on a number of projects over the last few years and I am delighted that the CMAE were able to accept our invitation to become an Official Patron in recognition of this collaboration. On behalf of the EIGCA I am also very happy to accept the kind invitation from the Club Managers Association of Europe to become one of their Allied Associations”.
