R&A reminder about Open Season Tickets

9.45am 23rd January 2001 - Sponsorship & Events - This story was updated on Thursday, June 17th, 2010

With less than six months to go until Tiger Woods sets out on Thursday 19th July in the defence of his title in the Open Golf Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes, spectators are reminded of the substantial discounts on season tickets if purchased before the end of January.

Until then, a season ticket giving entry for all eight days of practice and championship play, can be bought for £110 and this represents a saving of almost 50% when compared to the daily admission rates for the same period.

“We have found in recent years that we are selling an increasing number of season tickets and we expect this trend to continue” said David Hill, Championship Secretary of the R&A. “Season tickets do represent excellent value and while it will still be possible to ‘pay at the gate’, we believe that the public will take advantage of the substantial savings that are available until the end of April.

Ticket applications should be directed to: The Ticket Office, The Royal & Ancient Golf Club, St. Andrews, Fife, KY16 9JD, Tel: 01334 460010.
