Eric Hepworth, the Yorkshire based golf course photographer, has been taking photographs of golf courses since 1993. He has provided the hole by hole collection of pictures for every Open Championship venue since 1995.
Eric’s clients include the EGU, USGA, many of the world’s top golf magazines, book publishers, and several golf course architects. His library extends to many thousands of pictures.
In an attempt to bring his work to the attention of a new market, Eric commissioned a series of small posters, conveniently placed at eye level, to appear in Motorway service stations throughout August and the early part of September.
The intention was to drive visitors to view the extensive ‘gallery’ of Vintage, Panoramic and Classic golf courses at the website www.hepworthgolfphotography.com with the aim of attracting orders for display at home or in the office.
Individual prints can be ordered through the website up to a maximum size of 60”x 30” (1524 mm x 763 mm) and Eric points out that these can make superb birthday or Christmas presents.
In what has been confirmed as the UK’s wettest January to August period on record, professional golf course photographers have found it difficult to get sufficient consecutive days of decent weather to complete their assignments.
“It’s been a miserable year,” says Eric, “Because of the weather I’ve had to leave projects unfinished. This campaign was designed to reach people who would not normally get to hear about me and to let them know that it’s easy to obtain top quality photographs of their favourite courses either for themselves or their friends and colleagues.”
