The European Seniors Tour’s season finale will be held on Spain’s east coast this year when the OKI Masters Castellon Senior Tour Championship takes place at Sergio Garcia’s home course, Club de Campo del Mediterrà¡neo from 7-9 November.
A strong field is certain to line up for the Championship, which will conclude a record breaking season for the Seniors Tour, with players competing for a €400,000 prize fund.
The Club de Campo del Mediterrà¡neo, which was designed by Ramà³n Espinosa and opened in 1978, will also host the Comunitat Valenciana Masters Castellà³n Costa Azahar on The European Tour from 23-26 October.
It promises to be a special Championship for the Garcia family, as the 2008 Players Championship winner Sergio is the club’s touring professional while his father, Vàctor, who plays on the European Seniors Tour, is the club’s head professional.
Set in the hills overlooking Castellà³n, the Club de Campo del Mediterrà¡neo course weaves its way through olive and carob trees. Josà© Maràa Olazà¡bal holds the course record with an eleven under par 61, from December 2005.
