Regarded as one of the UK’s finest golfing destinations, London Golf Club has announced that it has selected specialist sports marketing agency, Professional Sports Group (PSG), to help develop its international PR communications and marketing activity with immediate effect.
The agreement will see PSG work closely alongside the team at London Golf Club, supporting, advising and delivering a number of focused marketing strategies designed to drive green-fee revenues, membership numbers and increase awareness of a venue already firmly established on the golfing map.
“We are delighted with the appointment of PSG and are confident they will be a valuable asset to us,” commented Austen Gravestock, General Manager London Golf Club. “One of our key considerations was to recruit an agency with a comprehensive understanding of the golf travel industry and we are confident we have found that in PSG. Their knowledge and relationships within golf are unrivalled and make them a natural partner to help us reach our objectives.”
James Lovett, PSG Account Manager added: “As an agency that specialises in golf it’s obviously a great honour to be chosen to represent a venue of the calibre of London Golf Club. The addition of a proven European Tour destination to our global client list gives us even further breadth and I am certain we will generate significant value for London Golf Club.”
With a proven record of hosting professional golf tournaments, London Golf Club is part of the prestigious European Tour Destination portfolio. Located amongst 700 acres of rolling Kent countryside it showcases 36-holes of championship golf within close proximity to the capital. The Heritage course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature design which has hosted The European Open on two occasions (2008 & 2009) and provides an exhilarating test for golfers of all abilities. Its sister course, The International has a distinctly inland links feel and is a tournament venue in its own right. As well as having previously hosted a European Senior Tour event, this testing layout is also a Regional Qualifying venue for the 2012 Open Championship.
From 18th-20th May 2012, London Golf Club will once again be the venue for Golf LIVE. This award-winning, interactive outdoor golf show has set the benchmark in providing golf enthusiasts with the opportunity to get a close-up to their heroes and gain a true insight into the life of a tour professional.
