TeeGenius is First in Fife

Teeing up at the home of golf has never been easier thanks to the launch of a new website dedicated to golf in Fife.

First in Fife, a group of 12 courses in the historic golfing region, has teamed up with the online tee-booking service, TeeGenius, to provide a one-stop shop for golfing in the region at www.firstinfifegolf.com.

The website’s booking element launched on 2nd April and sales of the Golfpasses have already increased. This follows a 70 per cent growth of sales last year.

A three-round pass is available for £59, with the five-round equivalent for just £92, and visitors can choose from any of the 12 member courses including Kinross and Aberdour.

The new facility allows golfers to buy their pass and see real-time availability for all of the courses so they can book tee-times that best fit their trip.

Ewen Watt, chairman of First in Fife, said, “The Golfpass has come a long way since we launched it in 2004, but we are still determined to offer a great Scottish welcome and great Scottish value to our growing number of first-time and repeat customers. We know this is a very competitive market, and we are determined to keep ahead of the competition by installing our new online booking system for 2008.”

Jago Brown, managing director of TeeGenius, said, “First in Fife’s online booking system will show how technology can help golf clubs improve their operations, customer service and revenue, by allowing golfers to search for and book tee times at so many courses all at the touch of a button.

“Our unique capabilities for integrating with various software companies and business models have made us instrumental in such an innovative project.”
