Offering improved performance, power and productivity, Toro’s new Reelmaster 7000-D fairway mower is the perfect workhorse for cutting large swathes of golf course fairways or sports training grounds, or for preparing turf for overseeding.
This latest addition to the Reelmaster range replaces the 4000-D model, with the 7000-D machine enhanced with a more powerful engine as well as a wider width of cut. In fact, its impressive 121-inch/307-cm width of cut is also spread across only five cutting units – as opposed to seven, as with other wide-area fairway mowers – which reduces initial purchase price as well as maintenance, while also enabling operators to cut more grass in less time.
Launching at Harrogate Week, the Reelmaster 7000-D is also equipped with a powerful 49hp Kubota diesel engine, as well as Toro’s SmartCool auto-reversing fan, which intermittently blows debris off the air intake screen to keep the engine cool. High-torque cutting cylinder motors allow the unit to power through tough jobs, further aiding productivity in even the most extreme fairway and rough conditions.
And following in the footsteps of other Toro cylinder mowers, the 7000-D also features Toro’s renowned Dual Precision Adjustment (DPA) cutting units fitted as standard. Thanks to their ingenious one-click dial, DPA units allow users to adjust and hold the bedknife in exact increments for an unrivalled quality and consistency of cut. Popular among many of theUK’s top golf clubs, DPA blades hold a sharp edge for longer, ensuring that each blade of grass is cleanly cut – not torn – to keep the sward green and healthy. What’s more, the unit’s bedknife can be quickly removed, replaced and reset for fast and fuss-free maintenance.
Additional features include a premium seat with enhanced suspension system and an ergonomic control arm for greater all-day comfort and productivity.
