Offers in excess of £2m for Gloucestershire golf course

12.53am 22nd April 2008 - Property

Colliers Recreational Property has been instructed to sell the freehold Forest Hills Golf Course, Coleford, Forest of Dean with offers in excess of £2m invited for the Gloucestershire golf course.

“This is a mature and well presented course which has been imaginatively designed to provide an undulating parkland course. It has a thriving membership and is also popular with visitors and societies,” says John Rushby on behalf of the agents.

“The present owner has undertaken an extensive programme of improvements. The course is well kept, free draining and offers wide fairways and large tees for the more novice and mid handicap golfer

“It also has a large commercially configured clubhouse which generates a substantial level of food, beverage and function trade. The present owner has operated the course on a lifestyle basis and offers significant potential for a new owner.”
