A new golf travel website has been launched enabling consumers wishing to play golf in Italy with the opportunity to combine their passion with other cultural activities.

www.golfinitaly.org offers the opportunity to browse and book golf packages to 35 Italian destinations, to organise tee-times at 112 golf courses or choose overnight accommodation at more than 100 hotels, villas and apartments.

The Italian golf offering has improved dramatically in the past few years with several notable resorts and courses having opened their doors. www.golfinitaly.org features packages across the country but with a focus on the main golfing areas of Piedmont, theItalianLakes,Veneto, Friuli, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany,Rome, Apulia, Sardinia andSicily.

Of course a trip to Italy wouldn’t be complete without some local culture and the new web offering provides possibilities to pre-book activities such as wine-tasting, guided city tours, authentic cookery classes, motor-racing at Monza or even time for yourself behind the wheel of a Ferrari…

The packages begin at €232 per person for a three-night, two-round break at the four-star Boscolo Padova in Veneto, while a four-night, three-round stay on the shores of Lake Como starts from €334 per person – based on the four-star Grand Hotel di Como.

For five-star Sicily, the Donnafugata Golf Resort and Spa starts at €476 per person for a five-night stay, with four rounds of golf on a choice of the resort’s two courses.
