Eagle’s club diaries approved by Britain’s favourite retailing group

12.05am 8th February 2008 - Corporate

In the same week that Waitrose and John Lewis came top in the 2008 Which? survey of Britain’s best retailers, Eagle has been winning high praise for the club diaries the company designed and produced for the John Lewis-owned and operated Winter Hill GC.

The diary in question is a 70 page condensed, two weeks-to-view, wiro-bound diary, with the club’s phoenix logo designed to overlay a full colour photograph on a specially encapsulated and much more durable cover. The diary cover design and production is an Eagle speciality.

Based in Cookham, Berkshire, Winter Hill GC is an amenity for John Lewis Partners but membership is also available to the general public. Chosen in the Which? survey for their customer service, quality and prices, John Lewis’s own choice of Eagle for their own golf club’s diary is significant and reinforces Eagle’s position as the UK’s leading provider of branded golf club collateral.

Hilary Spiers is the club manager at Winter Hill and says, “The diaries from Eagle look fabulous. Everyone is really impressed. The cover in particular looks great and the members love the colour-coded entries making it particularly easy to distinguish the ladies’ competitions from the men’s.”

Paul Noble, Eagle director, explains, “We work hard to offer golf clubs the highest standards of customer service, quality and prices. To be chosen by John Lewis, the UK’s leading retailer, is a real mark of approval for Eagle and reinforces the decision of the GCMA and many other golf clubs to choose Eagle for their own diaries and branded collateral.”

Besides all the usual options for page to view formats and content pages, Phil McInley, MD of Eagle, feels that their branding and design expertise sets Eagle apart from other diary suppliers.

“The branded collateral concept is proving very popular with many golf clubs,” he said. “The club diary and cover is an obvious extension to this concept and a new photograph of the clubhouse or course is the ideal way of differentiating one year’s diary from the previous one.”

Eagle is now taking enquiries and orders for 2009 golf club diaries and the diaries and options can be viewed at www.eagle.uk.com/other/diaries.html
