El Valle Golf Resort ready for tee off

8.14am 7th February 2008 - Course Development

The 18-hole Nicklaus Design golf course at Polaris World’s El Valle Golf Resort has now been completed and residents have already been enjoying this superb course situated in a stunning desert valley.

The midsize, par 71 golf course brings together several different types of hole whilst the style of the course creates an open and natural setting in which to enjoy a game. Instead of size, the course is oriented more toward creating difficulties and challenges for the player.

The design of the course presents the player with numerous short game options around the greens and rewards innovative and bold shots. El Valle Golf Resort includes groups of subtly shaped bunkers that sink into the desert landscape of holes surrounded by the natural rocks of the valley.

To improve upon the desert style, the golf course includes an extensive variety of bushes and other native plants from the region. Two lakes and a series of waterfalls provide the perfect touch to make El Valle Golf Resort a unique gem among the nine Polaris World golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus that will form the ‘Nicklaus Golf Trail’.

El Valle Golf Resort becomes the third Polaris World golf course to open following the launches of the 9-hole Mar Menor course and the 18-hole La Torre course. The fourth, at Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort, is confirmed for opening later in 2008.

A development of seven golf resorts, Polaris World boasts nine Nicklaus Design golf courses forming the Nicklaus Trail, the largest Jack Nicklaus golfing experience in Europe.

Polaris World resorts are situated in Murcia, south east Spain. Facilities include a Britsh school, King’s College Murcia www.kcmurcia.es
