Kenny Perry chooses new equipment for 2012

7.55am 19th December 2011 - Corporate

After nearly 20 years with the same company, Kenny Perry will be playing with new equipment in 2012. Perry decided it was time to switch when in his very first test session with an Adams Speedline driver he experienced an increase of seven miles per hour in ball speed translating into nearly 20 yards of increased distance.

This positive first impression led to full product range testing and, as a result, Adams Golf (Nasdaq: ADGF) has reached a multi-year agreement with the PGA and Champions Tour player beginning in 2012

“Adams Golf’s commitment to innovation has always been apparent to me,” said Perry. “I was blown away after my first test session.  When you gain nearly 20 yards of carry distance on both your driver and fairway woods, it makes you feel young again.  I’m excited to compete on both tours in 2012.”

“The addition of Kenny to our tour staff is very exciting,” said Chip Brewer, President and CEO, Adams Golf.  “With Kenny, we add a proven winner and someone who we feel really fits well with the Adams Golf brand and tour staff.”

Perry is a 14 time winner on the PGA Tour and earned his first Champions Tour victory at this year’s SAS Championship.  He is also a four-time US Presidents Cup team member and a two-time US Ryder Cup team member.  In addition to his wins, Kenny was awarded the 2009 Payne Stewart Award in recognition of his respect for the traditions of the game and his commitment to charitable giving. He will be playing on both the PGA and Champions Tour in 2012, and will start his 2012 campaign at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai.  Perry will be using an Adams Speedline driver and fairway wood along with Adams Idea hybrids and irons; additionally, Adams Golf will be on his headwear and bag.
