Forest Hill Golf Club, Leicester – for sale

8.10am 23rd November 2007 - Property

Sherindo Leisure Ltd has instructed HLL Humberts Leisure, the property specialists to the golf and golf hotel industries, to market Forest Hill Golf Club, Leicestershire. Offers in excess of £2.25 million are invited for the freehold property that is being offered to the market as the vendors wish to emigrate.

Forest Hill Golf Club, which is located close to Leicester (population 280,000), comprises a mature18 hole 6,491 yard (par 72) golf course in a semi-wooded setting; a recently constructed 9 hole short course; golf practice facilities and a 26 bay floodlit golf driving range; together with a well appointed, two storey clubhouse with function facilities.

Forest Hill Golf Club has recently undergone an extensive programme of capital investment, including the extension of the 18 hole course, the construction of the 9 hole short course and the improvement / extension of the floodlit golf range. The Club has a good reputation in the area, an established membership and a successful non-golf food and beverage operation, all helping to push the forecast turnover for the business above £1.0 million per annum.

The sale is being handled by Ben Allen, head of HLL’s golf agency team, who said, “Forest Hill Golf Club is now ideally poised to reap maximum benefit of the recent investment in the facilities and represents an ideal opportunity for an experienced operator or lifestyle purchaser to build on the successful trade that the vendors have established at the property.”
