John Deere have agreed to sponsor the English Golf Union Golf Club roadshows that are taking place around the country during October.
This is the third time John Deere have supported the roadshows, which provide an opportunity for club secretaries, course managers and club officials to keep up to date with the latest environmental and operational issues facing clubs.
The roadshows are now in their 12th year and each of the six venues will offer ecology and agronomy presentations outside on each of the golf courses hosting the events, as well as in-house presentations on issues including greenkeeper training, golf course policy, course equipment maintenance and course remodelling.
John Deere will also be supplying the equipment for the hands on machinery demonstration that is a key part of each roadshow.
Paul Keeling, EGU club services manager said, “We are delighted to be working with John Deere again. These roadshows always prove to be popular and having such a well-known and valued industry name working with us is an added bonus.”
The first roadshow takes place at Trentham Golf Club, Staffordshire on 2nd October and dates continue through to the 18th October.
David Hart, commercial & consumer equipment division manager of John Deere, commented, “As a major supplier of golf course maintenance equipment worldwide, we value the opportunity provided by the roadshows to meet club managers, secretaries and greenkeepers and get their feedback on our range of products and financial services. We are very happy to be in partnership once again with the English Golf Union and look forward to another successful series of events around the country.”
The roadshows are free of charge to attend with refreshments and lunch included. Full details are available by calling the EGU Club Services team on 01526 354500 or on the EGU website, www.englishgolfunion.org, click on ‘For Golf Clubs and the ‘Events‘.
