The five-star Aphrodite Hills Resort, Cyprus has joined the PGAs of Europe Prestige Collection, following the lead of the 2010 Ryder Cup venue, Celtic Manor.

The Prestige Collection will be made up of a limited number of high-quality golf resorts throughout Europe each boasting the highest standards of service and the very best facilities.

With a five-star hotel, luxury villas, 18-hole championship golf course and The Retreat Spa among its facilities, Aphrodite Hills Resort comfortably fulfils all these requirements and has been awarded the PGAs of Europe mark of quality.

Aphrodite Hills Resort business development director in the UK, Andreas Vasiliou said, “We’re very proud to be the first resort outside of the UK to be invited to join the PGAs of Europe Prestige Collection. Our facilities speak for themselves and we pride ourselves on offering nothing but the best. It’s nice to get the recognition we deserve as one of Europe’s premier resorts.”

PGAs of Europe Prestige Collection business development director Phil Richins said, “We’re delighted Aphrodite Hills Resort has joined our growing family. It’s a superb addition to our portfolio and offers so much scope for the perfect getaway whether a golfing holiday or just a relaxing break in a beautiful location. The resort is absolutely first class and exemplifies the strict levels of attainment we’re searching for in our members.”

The PGAs of Europe Prestige Collection stamp of approval means that visitors can expect the highest standard of excellence across the board. To ensure it retains the maximum level of delivery the scheme will remain exclusive, only awarding its recognition to Aphrodite Hills Resort in Cyprus and to a maximum of four resorts for all other countries.
