Club Car is delighted to announce that it has entered into a new agreement with The 2007 Solheim Cup to extend their status as the Official Supplier of Golf Cars and Golf Utility Vehicles of the event. The 2007 Solheim Cup will take place at Halmstad Golfklubb, Halmstad, Sweden, from 14-16 September.
During the last European based Solheim Cup in 2003, Club Car excelled themselves by making extensive overnight adjustments to the Captain’s Car so that despite a terrible back injury, the European team captain was still able to negotiate the golf course and guide her team to victory.
Steen Scherff, Area Manager for Club Car in Central and Northern Europe was responsible for co-ordinating Club Car’s activity at the last The Solheim Cup, “We are looking forward to working with The Solheim Cup once again this year. The 2003 event was extremely exciting and we are confident that the 2007 event will be equally successful.”
Club Car will be proving over one hundred vehicles in total, including the famous and instantly recognisable European and US Team cars with their flamboyant, patriotic branding. CarryAll turf vehicles and people transporters will also be used to ensure the smooth running of the event.
“Supporting the game of golf is a priority at Club Car,” commented Roberto Gorostiaga, Sales Director of Club Car Europe. He continues, “We are proud to support The Solhiem Cup in Europe and are delighted to extend our support of this fantastic event. The ladies game is increasing in stature on both sides of the Atlantic, and we are all excited about seeing some great golf from both teams in Halmstad this September.”
John A. Solheim, Chairman and CEO of PING, added: “I‘m very pleased to see Club Car involved in The Solheim Cup once again. I have always enjoyed the work Club Car has done. When I‘ve tested golf cars there has been no question that Club Car is the performance leader. It’s good to see someone who has a great product and keeps improving it.”
With just over four months until The Solheim Cup takes place at Halmstad, time is running out for spectators to purchase tickets. The organisers are encouraging the public to ensure they purchase tickets well in advance to support Helen Alfredsson and her team.
