Already well established as an effective training aid by UK health clubs, vibration fitness is now recognised as having many positive benefits for golfers. The Galileo machine enhances balance and flexibility, increases muscle and improves power.
The equipment was showcased at the London Golf Show and created a wealth of interest amongst visitors and exhibitors. The Galileo is already experiencing great success in the US golf market after winning the ‘Best New Product’ award at the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show.

Whole body vibration is not a new concept, with initial research being carried out in the 1960s and then developed in the 1970s by Russian scientists to treat cosmonauts – improving their muscle strength and bone mass. By the early 1980s the Galileo system was being researched and developed by its German manufacturer Novotec.
In 1999 the world’s first commercial, side-alternating vibration platform was produced by Novotec. This unique technology is now widely used throughout mainland Europe and North America by hospitals, gyms, physiotherapy centres, along with elite sports teams like AC Milan and world class athletes such as five times Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong.
