‘‘Golf’ is the new title for the magazine previously known as Golf Pages, the bi-monthly publication affiliated to the PGA.
The new name caps a transition for the magazine since it came under new ownership last year. ‘Golf’ has gone through a striking re-design in recent months and Robin Barwick has stepped up as editor following the departure of founding editor Steve Muncey.
“Under Steve’s editorship we worked extremely hard to achieve what doubters thought would be impossible, to establish a new magazine in the very competitive consumer golf market,” says Barwick. “The magazine now looks and reads better than ever, and we will endeavour to continue producing a striking and progressive magazine that will grab the attention of all golfers.”
“There is no disguising that it has been incredibly hard work since we bought the magazine last year,” says Trojan Publishing’s managing director Greg Caswell. “But we have a dynamic and dedicated team which has stopped at nothing to raise the magazine to a position it deserves. All the elements of producing a great title are in place and in collaboration with the PGA we are looking forward to reaching new heights in 2007.”
The first issue of ‘Golf’, complete with colourful coverage of the US Masters and an exclusive interview with Ireland’s Darren Clarke, goes on sale on 24th April.
