Syngenta to become business partner of EGCOA

“The Syngenta Turf Business is very proud become business partner of the EGCOA,” said Austen Sutton, global business support manager. “Syngenta supports the Association’s aspiration in bringing together the industry partners across Europe to discuss opportunities and challenges for the game of golf.”

Syngenta is already a leading corporate member of other global golf-industry associations such as the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the National Golf Course Owners Association. By this partnership it will become a more prominent player in the European golf industry as well.

Syngenta will be also a sponsor of the EGCOA yearly conference designed to provide owners of golf facilities across Europe an opportunity to network, share ideas, become informed about recent industry performance and research, and learn from leading industry consultants and speakers.

Lodewijk Klootwijk, director of the EGCOA said, “Turf management is a critical component for every golf course to provide player enjoyment and drive the basis for a viable business. Syngenta provides golf-course superintendents and managers with the most extensive portfolio of products and services to help them better manage their operations.”

The EGCOA was founded in 2004 by golf-course owners from Germany, France, Denmark and the Netherlands to provide the industry with a voice in the European Union. It represents close to 600 golf course owners in 12 European countries and national owners associations in 8 EU countries. The EGCOA is talking to owners associations in other EU countries.
