12.20am 22nd November 2006 - Travel

St Andrews Links Tours has announced that multi-Major winner and one of golf’s greatest Legends – Billy Casper – will return to Scotland in June 2007 as host to a VIP Tour to the Home of Golf.
In June, just prior to The British Open in 2007, Billy Casper will return to play Carnoustie Golf Links, scene of his Course Record in 1968. As well as spending a week in the company of Billy, tour party members will have the chance to play with the legendary member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, not only on the mighty Carnoustie Golf Links but also on The Old Course and The New Course in St Andrews, PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles Resort (venue for the Ryder Cup 2012) and Dalmahoy East (venue for the Solheim Cup). Several visits to Scotland’s finest castles and stately homes are also included and the finale will be dining in royal splendour at the last night gala reception and dinner aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia. This pilgrimage to The Home of Golf promises to be an unforgettable experience.
The directors of St Andrews Links Tours are extremely proud to have planned Billy Casper’s return to Carnoustie, which will prove to be an emotional trip for the 5-time Major winner and 2-time Senior Major Winner including The Masters, US Open and over 50 Championship wins on the PGA Tour. He was a member of 8 Ryder Cup teams and was the winning Ryder Cup Captain in 1979. Billy Casper remains one of golf’s most successful champions and the chance to join him on such a truly unique and exceptional experience will surely be a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity. Limited spaces available.
