Adderley Barker appointed at Remedy Oak

12.10am 3rd October 2006 - Course Development

Design consultancy Adderley Barker has been appointed to design the interior of the new clubhouse at Remedy Oak near Horton in Dorset. This 18-hole championship course has recently opened for play and the clubhouse is scheduled to open next April.
The course is spectacular having been developed out of 247 hectares of woodland and heath-land. Already there is an air of maturity and permanence.
Adderley Barker, specialists in hospitality and leisure design, has been given the brief to deliver an interior to match the requirements of an exclusive 400 member establishment. The objective is a highly serviced quality environment that assists operational efficiency both inside and out.
The project is the second golf clubhouse for Adderley Barker, who previously delivered the Surrey Downs clubhouse in Kingswood and described that process in a memorable presentation at the Business of Golf Conference at St Andrews last year. www.businessofgolf2006.com
Jon Barker, director, said, “As brand experts we bring a new approach to clubhouse design, we look at the club’s target market, identify their customers profiles and deliver the facilities and finishes their customers want.”
