Glenbrae Golf secure license agreement for Sunice

12.05am 23rd August 2006 - Corporate

Canadian based Fletcher Leisure Group Inc. has announced a licensee agreement with Glenbrae Golf, the wholly owned performance knitwear subsidiary of Spectrum Yarns Limited, in a move which will see the company immediately take control of the Sunice Golf performance outerwear brand. Sunice Golf has a strong reputation for producing quality outerwear products that target core golfers offering unrivalled protection against any weather conditions.
The agreement follows the widely reported news that previous licensee USP Brands went into administration in June and Sunice President Mark Fletcher was quick to reinforce his company’s commitment to the European markets. “We see the UK as a major market opportunity for our products and finding a new licensee partner quickly was critical to maintain momentum and accelerate growth. Glenbrae are simply the perfect match in this respect, their track record in establishing their innovative Spirol Seamless Technology in the market so quickly is outstanding and clearly demonstrates that they have the skill and resources to perpetuate the growth of the Sunice brand.”
Giles Birkhead, general manager of Glenbrae Golf, was also quick to endorse the compatibility of the two brands. “Sunice outerwear, like Glenbrae is all about technical performance and the two product categories compliment each other perfectly. I am excited about being able to apply our industry leading service levels, skilled sales team and marketing resources to the Sunice brand.”
Full information on the future strategic operation for Sunice Golf will be communicated to existing customers very shortly. Immediate enquiries can be directed to Giles Birkhead +44 1484 843732.
