IGTM brings the golfing world together

The 9th annual International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) 20-23 November 2006 has got off to a fantastic start with some 200 exhibitors from 30 countries already registered. To be held in Andalucia, Spain at the Marbella Conference Centre, IGTM, brings together golf tour operators, incentive travel agents, meetings and conference organisers with leading hotels, resorts, golf courses, airlines and other suppliers of golf related products.
IGTM will see over 390 exhibitors with representation from 9 country pavilions, showcasing their products and destinations to pre-qualified international buyers including groups from the Far East and the United States and emerging markets such as India and China.
Breaking away from the normal trade exhibition format, IGTM will feature pre-scheduled appointments with buyers selecting appointments with their chosen exhibitors equating to over eight hours of pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings. In addition there will also be over three hours of dedicated free networking opportunities on the show floor each day.
Mark Walsh, exhibition director IGTM said, “Andalucia, the host destination for this years IGTM, constitutes one of the most important international venues for golfing enthusiasts and will provide a perfect backdrop for the 9th annual IGTM. The show has already attracted significant interest at this early stage.”
New companies already registered include Saujana Resort, (Kuala Lumpur), Victoria Golf and Country Resort, (Sri Lanka), PGA National Resort & Spa, (Florida), North Carolina Division of Tourism, Ginn Clubs and Resorts, Orlando (Florida) and Muscat Golf & Country Club, Muscat, Oman.
IAGTO – the global golf tourism organisation – will hold the second IAGTO Awards Gala Dinner on the evening of the last day of the show
