Danish brand ECCO – maker of the world’s most comfortable, technically-advanced footwear – announces the introduction of Comfort Classic, an elegant, city-inspired men’s golf shoe combining rich leather uppers and a genuine leather welt with an array of proprietary performance features.
Designed to provide style, fit and feel that exceeds even the highest expectations, Comfort Classic will be worn in competition by several ECCO staff players, including defending U.S. Open Champion Graeme McDowell. It showcases the company’s unique HYDROMAX™ leather which is made exclusively at ECCO factories through a special tanned-in process. This ensures the shoes remain soft and breathable while keeping feet dry in the most demanding conditions.
“Since the first ECCO Golf collection, men worldwide have gravitated to the refined looks of our classic line,” says Michael Waack, Head of Global Golf at ECCO. “With this latest introduction, our focus was to also provide tremendous value for a leather welt golf shoe, and create a fit that accommodates a wide range of foot types.”
Additional performance features of the Comfort Classic include:
- “Second Skin” Lining – Developed at ECCO’s network of tanneries, the world’s softest leather wicks moisture, is extremely breathable, extraordinarily light and molds perfectly to the foot’s contours
- Direct Injected Polyurethane – Advanced construction process, unique to ECCO in the golf industry, guaranteeing long-lasting comfort and hyper-accurate anatomical support
- Climate Control – Removable, leather-covered insole with the ECCO Comfort Fiber System for a cool, dry climate within the shoe interior
In addition to McDowell, ECCO Golf shoes are worn in competition by scores of international Tour stars, including Fred Couples, Stuart Appleby, Aaron Baddeley, Thomas Bjorn, Thongchai Jaidee, Thorbjørn Olesen, Bradley Dredge, John Bickerton, Jennifer Johnson and many others.
Comfort Classic is available in the following colour options: Coffee/Whiskey, Black and White. RRP: £160
