Three Major Champions are the latest players to join the star-studded line-up at Golf LIVE 2011.

The 1991 US Masters champion, Ian Woosnam OBE, will be joined by former US Open winners, Michael Campbell and Retief Goosen, at this year’s ultimate live golf event. Golf LIVE brings together the stars of the game, biggest personalities and leading manufacturers for three days of unrivalled golf action at London Golf Club on May 20-22.

Ian Woosnam OBE, who famously edged out Jose-Maria Olazabal to the green jacket 20 years ago, led Europe to victory at the 2006 Ryder Cup. The Welshman spent 50 weeks at the top of the world golf rankings in 1991 and is considered as one of the ‘Big 5’ players who dominated golf in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Woosnam who is now forging a successful career on The European Senior Tour is renowned for his approach play, being one of the best the game has ever witnessed and his ability with the long irons will undoubtedly engage golf fans at the London Golf Club. He said: “I heard a lot about how successful last year’s Golf LIVE was, so I’m really looking forward to being there this time round.”

Michael Campbell joined the golfing elite as a Major Champion when he won the US Open in 2005. Campbell crowned a stellar season that year with a win at the World Matchplay Championship, which alongside his achievements at Pinehurst earned him the title of the 2005 European Tour Golfer of the Year.

Looking ahead to Golf LIVE 2011 and interacting with the fans, Campbell added: “It’s great to be a part of Golf LIVE 2011. It gives fans an insight into the world of golf that they otherwise couldn’t experience at a Tour event.”

Retief Goosen will be making his second appearance at Golf LIVE after a successful debut in 2010. The South African, who has won the US Open on two occasions, enjoyed last year’s inaugural event and cannot wait to see Golf LIVE transform the London Golf Club. He said: “I was lucky enough to be part of the inaugural event in 2010 and thoroughly enjoyed it.

“It is the best golf lesson you could ever wish for and the interaction between the players and the fans is great to be a part of. This year should be very exciting, especially with the new venue.”

Attendees to the event will be treated to a feast of golf, including the three hole pro-celebrity challenge and professional masterclass theatres, where the likes of GolfLIVE ambassador Colin Montgomerie, Paul McGinley, Darren Clarke and Thomas Bjorn will offer expert tips on how to improve all aspects of the game from tee to green.

Spectators will get the chance to watch, interact and learn from world class talent including, Nick Dougherty, David Howell, Rhys Davies, as well as Thomas Levet, Pablo Larrazabal, and the World Long Drive champion, Joe Miller, who will be sharing the secrets of their success with the fans.

Tickets to Golf LIVE start from £45 and are available from the Golf LIVE website at www.golfliveevent.com
