Ryder Cup Europe LLP is delighted to announce today the six Partners for The 2006 Ryder Cup between Europe and the United States at The K Club, Straffan, Co. Kildare, Ireland from September 22-24. Allianz , Ireland 2006, KPMG, Lucent Technologies, O2 and Rolex have joined together to form a powerful partnership.
Allianz has confirmed its place as the sixth and final Partner in this new structure which also includes, as Official Sponsors of The 36th Ryder Cup, AIB, Ballygowan, BMW, Bord Bia, Budweiser, Byrom, Club Car, Pfizer, Unisys and Waterford. The Preferred Suppliers to the event are DHL, Marques de Riscal, Moët & Chandon, Philips, Stena Line and Toro.
The commercial strategy for The 2006 Ryder Cup has been designed to involve and integrate its Partners into this world class event. Ryder Cup Europe LLP has actively sought to secure partnerships with world class brands and companies to further enhance the image and the status of The Ryder Cup.
Richard Hills, The Ryder Cup Director, said, “We are delighted that Allianz has confirmed its place in a partnership programme which unites multi-national companies with the common objective of enhancing the reputation of The Ryder Cup and further popularising the game throughout the world.
“The six Partners we have confirmed for Ireland form the top tier of this programme. They will, of course, contribute to the financial success of The Ryder Cup but, more importantly, they share our respect for the traditions of the game. It will be our role to ensure that this support is translated into global appreciation of the sport and the match.”
