On the road with CLUBView, BRS Golf and Teeofftimes.co.uk

Market leaders in online marketing for golf clubs, CLUBView, BRS Golf and Teeofftimes.co.uk, are holding a new format of roadshow at Hindhead GC on 6 April showing golf club managers how to make the most of their online marketing opportunities. It is a move that has being widely welcomed and on the day there is also golf at this top Surrey course.

CLUBView: ‘Designed for your club’

The leading design and development team for over 170 top quality golf club websites, CLUBView’s range of features and benefits have been significantly enhanced by integration with BRS Golf’s online Diary and booking system. By developing a single shared membership database, members of clubs with both a CLUBView website and the BRS Golf booking system only need to log in once to their Members’ pages and be automatically logged in to the booking system as well.

At the Hindhead roadshow, CLUBView will be showing the new club communications tool, the automated Newsletter and Club Diary application. The automated Newsletter identifies new entries to a club’s website about forthcoming events, event reports and so on, and then lays these out in a Newsletter format with a link to the full report. Chris O’Hagan thinks the Club Diary feature will be even more useful: “It’s a simple way of showing a month-to-view of your Club Diary and pushing it automatically to members weekly, monthly or whatever they want. This will make life easier for clubs and their members, and adds membership value.”

Teeofftimes.co.uk: the ideal e-marketing partner

Teeofftimes.co.uk, the UK’s largest tee time booking service powered by Europe’s largest golf travel company Golfbreaks.com, has recently announced record figures for 2010 having booked UK tee times for 105,000 golfers, a 140% increase on last year.

Teeofftimes.co.uk aims to give golf clubs the opportunity to market themselves on-line, 24/7 and promote their tee-times to a wider audience. Steve Hemsworth, MD of Golfbreaks.com states “Golfers’ habits are changing. In August alone we booked tee-times for 19,000 golfers, and 67% of bookings were made within 72 hours of play and 43% were booked when the pro shop would normally be closed. The trend we are experiencing this year is more ‘last minute’ bookings and Teeofftimes.co.uk enables golfers to make these kind of bookings. We are confident an increasing number of golfers are looking for that flexibility when booking tee times.”

BRS Golf: making the club manager’s life easier

With BRS Golf’s online Diary and booking system now installed at well over 500 clubs, the BRS team will be showing why their system is making so many club managers’ lives easier, as UK Sales Manager Bob King explains: “There are many time-saving features we’ve built in to the BRS Golf system, but it’s chiefly the reports and the marketing ones that are making life easier for the busy manager. Building databases, attracting and retaining members, increasing visitors – it’s much easier with a few clicks.”

“With the growing trend for booking golf online as members and visitors, the BRS system is proving to be an invaluable tool for progressive clubs that want to both enhance their membership value and sell their available tee times to visitors. BRS Golf can connect clubs automatically to the leading online marketing channels as well, so club managers can maximise their exposure to the widest market possible number of golfers looking for golf in their area.”
