Ransomes Jacobsen, one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of turf maintenance equipment, has formally notified the IOG and its dealer and distributor network that they will not be exhibiting at the Sports, Amenity and Landscape Trades Exhibition (SALTEX) in September 2006. However, the Ipswich based company will be exhibiting again in 2007 and every other year thereafter.
Commenting on the decision, managing director, David Withers said, “We began a dialogue with the IOG back in 2003 in regard to the possibility of Ransomes Jacobsen exhibiting at SALTEX on a bi-annual basis. As strong supporters of the IOG we made sure that they were aware of our concerns, providing them with sufficient time to make their plans accordingly. We shall continue to be supportive of the IOG and look forward to maintaining a constant exchange of communications on how we can continue to work together over the coming years.
“For the past five years we have invested in the largest stand at SALTEX. I believe that this demonstrates to everyone in the industry the strength of our continued commitment to the IOG and our recognition of the importance of SALTEX. Indeed, this year we enjoyed a highly successful show and plan to make a significant impact on our return to SALTEX in 2007. It’s an opportunity I very much look forward to.”
