Golfstream, the UK’s leading motorised golf trolley and spares company, has moved to a new 19,000 sq ft factory location in Ramsgate, Kent.
Extensive building work has been carried out on the Wilton Road premises to make purpose-built offices and a showroom where Golfstream can showcase their own Revolution trolleys, e-CADDY trolleys and Hedgehog winter wheels.
Having added more than 50 new lines in spares during 2010 and taken on e-CADDY and Hedgehog distribution, the time was perfect for Golfstream to relocate and consolidate all its product development, manufacturing, sales and distribution departments into one location.
Says Derek Richford: “This is an ideal move for Golfstream. The building is where all of our all-British Revolution trolleys are made, as well as all of the electronic spare parts.
“Putting everything under one roof means it will be far easier for us to develop new product and our pick and pack spares operation will be even more efficient.”
A total of 18 staff will be employed at the Golfstream premises, which is majority owned and run by Derek and Lee Stelfox, who have a wealth of experience in the electric golf trolley market having previously worked for Powakaddy/Hill Billy.
Since launching its own Revolution trolley at Golf Europe last year, Golfstream has gone from strength to strength.
The British-made, hand-built Revolution with its unique ‘one-click’ folding mechanism is a best-seller throughout Europe, while Golfstream also carries in stock a huge range of wheels, batteries, chargers, golf bags, spares and accessories for most popular trolley brands – which the company dispatches all over Europe.
