Ahead of the launch of the National Golf Show in April, organiser the Golf Show Group has announced two new appointments within the company.
Damian Benstead has been promoted to become the company’s managing director and his new role also resulted in elevation to sales director for Dean Vickerman.
Benstead said: “With the first National Golf Show on the horizon it is integral we have the right structure and team in place to launch the event and ensure it is a huge success for all concerned.
“Between us Dean and I have more than 20 years’ experience of working in the golf industry and we know what exhibitors want, what motivates consumers and how to bring those things together.
“Everyone involved is confident the show will be a huge success and there’s a really positive buzz surrounding the whole project.”
The National Golf Show will take place from April 15-17 at the NEC. The new show aims to offer more new products, more interactivity and more value for money.
Benstead added: “Visitor feedback has shown that what golfers want is to see all the latest equipment and products and have the chance to swing some clubs so we are going to provide more of this as well as a great day out. We’ve also got plans for a host of benefits for visitors making the National Golf Show great value for money as an experience.”
A strong focus on interactivity will mean visitors are greeted by a host of opportunities to swing a club, with free tuition from fully qualified coaches and the chance to win fantastic prizes on a variety of innovative fun and games among the show’s main features.
All the latest equipment from big brands will be available to test and buy as well as the latest training aids and apparel with the show bringing together all elements of the golfing world.
