To welcome in a new golfing season, and to celebrate the return of the Open Championship to the Home of Golf, St Andrews Links Trust has launched a completely revised and significantly improved website. The radical new design features enhanced navigation and updated content to help golfers book tee times online and learn more about the history of the world’s most famous golfing venue.
The innovative format includes more in-depth information about the six links courses and a deeper insight into the work of the Links Trust, the organisation responsible for managing and maintaining the famous venue. The website also provides a fascinating introduction to playing golf at St Andrews and is the doorway to linksnet, the Links Trust’s online booking service.
With a detailed history of golf in St Andrews and an online shop stocked with products ranging from Old Course golf ball markers to limited edition prints of the links, the new website is a truly invaluable resource.
Commenting on the launch, Peter Mason, external communications manager at the Links Trust, said the redesigned website had been launched to meet growing demand for information about the famous links. “With around 500,000 visitors each year, our website is a vital way of providing information about our courses, facilities and services. We continuously update it to ensure the public has access to the latest information, and this launch forms part of a wider strategy to improve services while maintaining the best traditions of golf at the Home of Golf.”
