A one-day golf business conference is being held at the Convention Centre in Dublin on 19 November supported by the GUI, ILGU & Failte Ireland.
The organisers say that the objective of the solutions driven conference is to address the current status of the golf market and to collectively agree a way forward in these challenging times.
The conference will address:
- The results of the most comprehensive study ever undertaken on the Irish golf market
- Business restructuring
- Operating efficiencies
- Revenue growth, membership retention and online opportunities
International and domestic speakers will address the conference which is tailored to stakeholders in the Golf Industry. Over 150 attendees have signed up to date and the attendance is expected to reach 200.
Among the speakers is Charles P. “Buddy” Darby, III CEO, Kiawah Development Partners, was responsible for the development of Doonbeg Golf Club in County Clare.
Other speakers include Marty Carr, CEO Carr Group & GCMS; Mark Nolan, CEO Dromoland Castle Golf & CC and Castlemartyr Hotel & Golf Club; Frank Bowen of GUI and Sinead Heraty of ILGU; and Roddy Carr, CEO Solheim Cup 2011
