The inaugural Golf Show event, held from 26-28 October at Harrogate International Centre, raised thousands of pounds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research during the three days of the show.
Delegates and exhibitors dug deep to fill buckets placed around the three exhibition halls, while the show organisers donated £5 for every survey filled in by those attending to raise £5,255 for the charity.
The inaugural Golf Show event saw more than 1,200 golf industry professionals visit the Harrogate International Centre, where they had the opportunity to visit more than 50 of golf’s leading suppliers and service providers.
There was also a substantial educational element to the show with seminars conducted by leading experts from the golf industry running throughout the three-days, and keynotes from inventor of the Pro V1 golf ball Bill Morgan, Frank Thomas, former USGA Technical Director, the Birmingham City Football Club manager Alex McLeish, former Boots Chief Executive Richard Baker, and golf marketing guru, Andrew Wood.

“I am extremely grateful to all those who dug deep into their pockets to help raise so much money as well as those who helped to make the show run smoothly. We are already looking towards next year’s event and how we can build on the success of the first show and really cement its place as Europe’s leading golf trade and educational event.”
