TaylorMade-adidas Golf Europe has granted a license and distribution agreement to JJB Sports plc exclusively to sell all Maxfli branded golf products, excluding golf balls, in the UK and Ireland.
Effective from 1st February 2005, the deal has a four-year initial term and covers all Maxfli branded golf equipment including metalwoods, irons, bags and accessories. The development and distribution of golf balls will continue to remain with TaylorMade-adidas Golf Europe to sell through its existing channels.
Commenting on the agreement, Rollen Jones managing director of TaylorMade-adidas Golf Europe said, “The Maxfli brand continues to enjoy strong consumer awareness and is seen as a true, authentic golf brand. We are excited about this arrangement with JJB and believe it provides a great opportunity to grow the brand, particularly in the important golf equipment sector.”
