SDGA is a two-year accredited golf college, preparing students for successful careers in the golf industry for 30 years. It is the oldest and largest golf college in the world. There are currently four SDGA campuses: San Diego, California; Orlando, Florida; Phoenix, Arizona; and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A fifth campus will be opening in Honolulu, Hawaii in January 2005.
The Academy’s Associate of Applied/Occupational Business Degree Program is a 16-month program and is comprised of a combined curriculum of golf instruction and business management. The curriculum is designed to provide graduates with the education required to manage, or assist in the management of, all golf complex operations, including the competence to teach golf techniques. Academy scheduling allows for serious study of the golf business as well as the golf game.
