The Championship Course at Royal Dornoch has been turned into a spectacular winter wonderland.
The first snowfall of winter has ruled out golf for the next few days. But anyone taking to the links for some fresh air and exercise is being rewarded with stunning vistas, as these images captured by photographer Matthew Harris confirm.
General manager Neil Hampton said: “The overnight snow has transformed the views over the golf courses.
“We have been blessed with a great run of dry and sunny weather this month and golfers have taken full advantage of that. But winter has arrived in the Highlands and we’ll have to see when the thaw begins and players can get back out on the links.”
Golf has been played across the world’s most northerly championship links for over four centuries.
Every year, golfers from all over the make the pilgrimage to Dornoch, a small, traditional Scottish seaside which enjoys spectacular scenery and an award-winning sandy beach.
