National Club Golfer has ‘rebooted and rebranded’ its YouTube platform under the new title of Your Golf.
Building on the success of the Hannah Holden NCG channel, the grass-roots golf media brand says it will head into 2025 with a ‘broader and deeper content offering’.
Your Golf will create video content that is designed to help the dedicated golfer in all aspects of their game, whether that is choosing a new driver, learning about the Rules of Golf or the finer points of the World Handicap System.
The revamped channel will be managed by video editor Chris Vodden, who will work with the wider NCG team to shape the direction of content and ensure its continued growth.
Jack Backhouse will be the face of the Your Golf channel. A PGA Professional with a decade of experience coaching golf, he will bring his expertise in equipment, coaching and working with scratch golfers to screens.
The content offering will be four-pronged:
- Pick Your Sticks is an equipment playlist featuring videos designed to help the viewer choose their next equipment purchase.
- The Scratch Golf playlist will put watchers inside the mind of an elite player, explaining how they play and practice, how they think and how they use data.
- Rules of Golf Explained playlist. Jack will be joined by Steve Carroll, who has passed the R&A’s Level 3 Rules of Golf exam and has officiated at a number of high-profile amateur tournaments.
- And The Lesson Tee is the new tips playlist. This will bring a regular stream of seasonal instruction, ensuring readers have a comprehensive diet of credible coaching content.
Tom Irwin, head of content at NCG, said: “This is an exciting step for our YouTube footprint. Your Golf will build on the success of Hannah’s great work and move us in a more focused and expert direction.
“So many of the best people out there on YouTube are PGA Professionals. The likes of Rick Shiels, Peter Finch, Joe Ferguson and James Robinson are super-talented and super-knowledgeable and Jack fits that mould. The rebrand reflects the content on offer – information that helps your golf – whatever type of golfer you are.
“2025 will also see us ramp up our Top 100 Courses content in video and on social and more will be announced on that as we move into the New Year.
“Finally, a big thank you to Hannah for all her hard work at National Club Golfer. We wish her the best of luck with her new venture. Maybe she will be back as a friend of the channel in the future – so watch this space.”
