Onyria Quinta da Marinha in Portugal has continued a formidable winning streak at the M&IT Awards, claiming the silver prize in the ’Best Overseas Hotel’ category for the third consecutive year.

In a six-name shortlist of hotels from Portugal, Germany, Cyprus and the Bahamas, the Cascais venue retained its place as the highest-ranked European resort at the ‘Oscars of the events industry’.

Onyria Quinta da Marinha’s standing in the meetings and events industry has been stronger than ever during their three-year winning streak, in part thanks to the opening of the Onyria Marinha Boutique Hotel in 2023.

Blessed with a picturesque location just 30 minutes from Lisbon Airport, the resort is a go-to choice for European events thanks to its luxurious rooms, acclaimed catering and versatile event spaces capable of hosting up to 450 people.

Visitors from across the world can also enjoy the resort’s popular 18-hole golf course, designed by the world-renowned American architect Robert Trent Jones.

One of the most prestigious honours available across the hospitality and events sector, this year’s M&IT Awards took place at the five-star JW Marriott Grosvenor House London on September 13.

João Pinto Coelho, Sales Director at Onyria Golf Resorts, said: “It’s an honour to win the silver award in this prestigious category for a third year in a row. This achievement reflects the dedication and passion of our entire team, and we are truly grateful to everyone who voted for us and continues to support Onyria Quinta da Marinha.”
