Camiral Golf & Wellness, Spain’s No.1 golf tesort, has introduced a range or new culinary and wine experiences, enhancing the resort’s gastronomic offering for golfers seeking a getaway rich in Catalan cuisine and culture.

The 36-hole European Tour Destination introduces its new restaurant, Origin, which combines traditional, locally-sourced Catalonian flavours with innovative techniques from its renowned chefs.

Led by David Vives, who previously spent 10 years at the three Michelin-star restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, Origin’s intimate setting provides the perfect backdrop for its seasonal set menu, celebrating the diverse ingredients and cooking styles of the region.

Further enriching the resort’s culinary offering is the newly refreshed Camiral Bistro (formerly known as 1477 restaurant). This family-friendly venue offers rustic dishes, showcasing high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients such as fresh fish, chargrilled meats, and Mediterranean vegetables prepared over the grill in typical Brasa style.

“With the opening of Origin, our new gastronomic restaurant, we now offer guests a choice of five excellent dining options within the resort that reflect the famed local gastronomic scene of Catalunya, the heart of Costa Brava, which is home to 13 Michelin-starred restaurants, making it one of Europe’s most extraordinary dining destinations,” said David Plana, CEO of Camiral Golf & Wellness.

“Complemented by our two acclaimed golf courses, the Stadium and Tour, our award-winning Wellness Centre, and two luxury hotel options, all set within the serene natural backdrop of the Costa Brava, Camiral Golf & Wellness is a must-visit destination for those looking to experience Catalan culture, cuisine and championship golf.”

The new culinary offerings at Camiral Golf & Wellness are complemented by the resort’s own eco-wine that it has produced since 2019, hand-harvesting Garnacha (both black and white), Chardonnay, Xarel-lo, and Syrah grapes grown on-site at the 500-hectare estate. These grapes are used to make its own white, rosé and red organic-certified wines.

Camiral boasts an on-site vineyard

At the beginning of 2024, the resort partnered with the Eccocivi winery to be the sole producers of Camiral wines, created exclusively for the enjoyment of guest and residents of Camiral Golf & Wellness.

Located in Sant Martí Vell, just 30 minutes from the resort, Eccocivi is a small winery founded in 2004 by renowned Tiffany’s jewellery designer Elsa Peretti. Following her passing, the winery became part of the Elsa Peretti Foundation, which supports various social, environmental, cultural, artistic, and humanitarian projects worldwide. All the profits from the winery are donated to this foundation.

Beyond the fairways, golf and wine enthusiasts can embark on unique tour and tasting experiences, sampling the refreshing range of Camiral wines amidst rolling vineyards.
