Accountancy Matters, the golf club accounts outsourcing company, have reached a milestone with their technology partner, Datamolino, in processing over 10,000 documents per month.
The data entry and processing company support Accountancy Matters’ golf clubs by providing an uploading service of invoices and receipts, which then automatically populates and codes the financial documents to the golf clubs accounts package in Xero.
Paul Mould, Director of Accountancy Matters, comments “Datamolino can extract real data from e-invoices and scans so to negate the need for manual input. As a result, we reckon there is about an 80% reduction in time for the management of supplier invoices by the club.”
“Digitalised documents also make the retrieval of data so much quicker too. Our clubs can now use the software to identify the historical prices, for instance, for any products they’ve purchased. That’s particularly useful in today’s tough economic climate.”
With seven millions tonnes of paper waste still sent to landfill every year, the technology is also aiding golf clubs with their environmental focus – saving significant waste and reducing the clubs impact on the environment.
The growth in document processing has been significant, from little over 60 documents 5 years ago to a regular monthly processing of in excess of 10,000 documents today.
Accountancy Matters are at the forefront of accounting technology through their relationship with Datamolino, Xero and golf club software specialist, Intelligent Golf. Golf clubs’ benefit from significant cost savings in accountant and bookkeeper salaries as well as real-time accounts that allow them to make evidence-based decisions about the business.
